NEW DELHI: Equity markets saw a flat opening on Thursday as Sensex and Nifty were trading rangebound to previous closing levels in early trading.

30-share BSE Sensex gained 58 points to open just above the 35,700-mark. The index failed to hold on to the mark but did not slip drastically either. The broader 50-share NSE Nifty was testing the 10,750-level.

The Nifty Metal sub-index was down a per cent.

The markets may be in for a trigger with China – US import tariffs expected to come into effect from July 6.

Yes Bank, Mahindra & Mahindra and Reliance were gaining the most in morning trade.
